Ep. 7: The Intersection of Tech and Biotech with Dr. Nick Edwards

On this week's episode of the podcast, we invited in and sat down with Nick Edwards, PhD in our Cardiff by the Sea headquarters for a chat on artificial intelligence (AI) and life sciences. Nick is a serial entrepreneur working at the intersection of technology and biotechnology. He's currently building a company focused on AI tools for life sciences and is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) at the Allen Institute for AI (AI2). Dr. Edwards is a neuroscientist by training. He did his doctoral studies at Brown University, postdoctoral training at UC San Diego , and in a consultative role at Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Nick is passionate about building the scientific ecosystem and co-organizes regular in-person meetups in San Diego for people working on AI applications in the life sciences. He also runs a podcast called Once a Scientist to help researchers learn about career options.
